I bought this 2019 Ram as a replacement for my 2017 Ram Big Horn 4×4, that was totaled on Jan. 24th, 2019. (I was at a dead stop on the freeway, in traffic when a kid rear ended me @ 60-70MPH.)
Though I have only had it a short time, this 2019 Ram Big Horn Sport 4×4 (5th Gen), with a little over 1,000 miles on the odometer, is noticeably better in handling & ride. It even feels stronger under acceleration, than my 2017, because of the newer transmission. The E-Torq system takes a little getting used to, but it does save gas when sitting a traffic lights.
Some of the features I like on it are:
Driving lights that come on when your use your turn signals & illuminate the R or L side while turning.
Yellow rear turn signals & flashers. (It’s nice to be noticed!)
The seats are more comfortable.
The backup camera has a feature that allows you to look down to your trailer hitch. It doesn’t just show the area behind you.
There are other features, but I won’t bore you to tears. As far as the E-Torq system, it does take a little getting used to. When I first brought the truck home, it would freak me out when it would shut itself off. So, I would just turn the E-Torq system off when I started the truck. But now, I leave it on & have slowly gotten used to it.
All in all, this is a great truck & value for the money. It does what I have asked of it, so far. She has done well with the Auto 4-wheel drive in all the snow & ice we’ve had around here in the last couple of months. My mileage is pretty good at 17MPG, all around driving. And ZERO problems with it other than the 3 recalls, 2 of which were done at the dealership before I bought the truck.
Why you bought it???, then
Do not like it without the emblem on side saying ram 1500, so I put them on. Doesn’t have night light in tailgate like my 2017 ford did. ECO dash light does not come on. PLUS SIDE-best looking interior ever in a truck. Also just cause it has trailor tow mirrors you cannot get 360 camera.
